Kala feels unrushed. There is time to relax at the beach, explore the breath-taking surroundings, taste exquisite local foods and dance all night by the sea. The headline DJs play extended sets so you won’t have to worry about set times.
Besides the music events, we also offer a roster of holiday and wellness activities, and day excursions to discover the natural wonders of the Albanian Riviera.
We welcome people from far and wide with open arms, regardless of race, gender or sexuality. However, there are a few but essential house rules:
People at Kala are free to dress how they want, be who they want to be and love who they want to love. Respect each other, embrace the openness and party together. If anyone or anything is making you feel uncomfortable, please let any member of staff know. Bar staff, security, DJs, we are all on the same team. Kala is a safe space for positive people to connect through music, and we'll protect it preciously.
At Kala you will be able to enjoy a wide and eclectic selection of artists. From the biggest international acts to obscure selectors and unsung local heroes, this is a great opportunity for you to discover new music, genres and artists.
If you see an act you haven't heard before playing a peak time slot, rest assured there are reasons for it. We put a lot of care into the programming and music curation. Step out of your comfort zone, your new favourite act may be waiting there.
Kala is an escape from the every day, make the best out of it. If you are on the dance floor, put your phone away. Dance, interact with the people around you, let loose and enjoy the moment.
Respect the locals
Albanians are incredibly welcoming but remember that we are here as guests. Be kind to our hosts, keep the noise down outside the music venues and leave the place in the same or better condition as it was when you arrived.
Respect the environment
Be mindful of your surroundings and look after this place. Having fun can be sustainable. Don't throw your cigarette butts, use the bins provided, collect any plastic you see around and help us keep this beautiful place in pristine condition.
Dhërmi is a little coastal village on the Riviera, located between the cities of Sarandë and Vlorë. It is well known among Albanians for its laid back atmosphere and beautiful beaches, but it is as good as unknown to international travellers.
Expect crystal clear waters, great hospitality, shockingly good food, and some of the best beaches in the Mediterranean.
Albania is the last short-haul European sunspot that hasn't been conquered by mass tourism. As a destination it is unrivalled.
The Albanian Riviera is an unspoiled, naturally stunning setting with turquoise waters, sandy beaches and a rich archaeological and cultural heritage.
Splendor is a tranquil beach bar with sunbeds surrounded by vegetation by day that becomes a buzzing open-air club at night. Equipped with a wooden dancefloor right by the water's edge, and a top-of-the-range sound system, Splendor is quite possible the best open air club in the world.
The Cove is an intimate beach spot a few steps away from the main entrance. You can swim in crystalline waters during the day, hire a pedalo, enjoy DJs and live bands at sunset, and dance the night away by the sea.
This beach forest sitting at the end of a natural canyon is not only one of the most incredible party locations you will ever dance at, but the perfect place to spend the day too. You can relax by the beach, dance at the forest or stroll along the canyon until you reach the enigmatic waterfall.
Gjipe is only accessible by boat, which makes its capacity very limited. Tickets for Gjipe are sold separately and will sell out in advance.

Drymades is the neighbour beach to Dhërmi. It shares the same pristine clean blue waters, impressive mountain background and sprawling layout, but enjoys a more relaxed and spacious atmosphere.
There are several beach bars and restaurants, plenty of sunbeds, jets skis to rent, free volley fields and smaller beaches to discover at both ends. The perfect place to spend some time relaxing during the day.
Situated slightly to the south of Dhërmi, just past an old pirates cave, is this untouched, undeveloped, protected area.
Formed out of a river running through the canyon, Gjipe is both forest and beach - an amazing place to escape to and explore - as well as the perfect place for a very special daytime party.
