• Kala 2020 postponement statement

    Dear Kala family,

    It is with a heavy heart that we have to announce that Kala won’t be able to take place in 2020.

    We have been closely monitoring the developments of the global situation during these past weeks, and after careful consideration and dialogue with the multiple parts involved, we have come to the conclusion that we won’t be able to run a safe and enjoyable event for our guests, staff, and Dhërmi residents this year.

    Kala is meant to be a celebration and an opportunity to dance and relax in paradise for a few days and switch off from the world to be able to return to our lives with renewed energy. While we believe this is more needed than ever and have done all we could to make it happen, the reality is that Coronavirus is still a serious health threat and that we haven’t made enough progress in our collective battle against it.

    We need to support frontline healthcare workers and organisations around the world fighting the outbreak and avoid contributing to the spread of the virus so we can keep making progress in the right direction.

    Albania is in a relatively good situation but there is still a lot of uncertainty about how things are going to develop between now and September and we believe it is not responsible to go ahead in this situation.

    It is absolutely heart-breaking to realise that we are going to miss our little slice of paradise this summer but we are confident it will be worth the wait, and that next year we all will be able to enjoy the truly magical week in the Albanian Riviera we were looking forward to.

    Kala will take place 9th to 16th of June 2021 and it’s safe to say that the long-awaited reunion will be a truly special one.

    We appreciate this a complex situation for many but we are determined to make it very easy to navigate by offering two simple options to all ticket holders:

    • Option 1 : Move your booking to 2021 - any amounts paid, except the deposit, will be automatically refunded
    • Option 2 : Cancel your booking and request a refund

    Speak to your group and then ask the lead passenger to fill the form linked below to let us know your choice. Note we ask for only one form submission per group. You will need your booking ID for this, which you can find on your confirmation email.

    As you know, tickets for Kala are in high demand. Moving your booking to 2021 is the only way we can guarantee you will be able to attend.

    By moving your booking, you will also support the hundreds of employees, freelancers, suppliers and local businesses that depend on Kala. If you are in the position to do so, your support will be greatly appreciated.

  • Moving your booking to 2021

    If you decide to move your booking to 2021, we will automatically process a refund of any amounts paid towards your booking, except the deposit.

    This option will allow you to guarantee your spot for 2021 and keep your accommodation with just a small financial commitment. You won’t have to pay anything further until the new final balance date which is set for 31st of March 2021. We will also honour the €40 in drinks tokens that were offered a couple months back.

    By moving your booking to 2021, you will support the hundreds of employees, freelancers, suppliers and local businesses that depend on Kala. If you are in the position to do so, your support will be greatly appreciated.

  • Cancelling your booking and requesting a refund

    If you don’t want to attend next year, you can cancel your booking and request a refund via the form linked below. Refunds will be processed within 60 days of the closure of the form.

    Please note the booking fee of £10 per person is not refundable. The booking fee covers part of the cost of the staff and the infrastructure required to provide our booking service, as well as the payment card-processing fees that we incur on each transaction, both on the original payment as well as the refund.

    Also note that if you decide to move your booking to 2021, you would still be able to cancel your booking at any point before the final balance date on March 31st, and you would only lose your deposit. If you move your booking to 2021, we will automatically refund any amounts paid towards your booking, except the deposit.

  • Split decisions within the same group

    If not everyone in your group can make the same choice, the lead passenger will be able to register different options for every passenger in the booking.

    If you want to split your group, the remaining passengers in the booking will need to change accommodation to fit the new group size, unless you have multiple rooms in your booking and entire rooms can be cancelled. Those who need to change accommodation to fit their new group size will be able to do so later this year.

    Eg. a group of 6 people split into 3x 2pax rooms where 4 want to move to 2021 and 2 want a refund. The 4 passengers can move to 2021 and keep their 2x 2pax rooms while the other 2 passengers can cancel their room and request a refund.

    Eg. a group of 3 people staying in a 3pax room where 2 people want to move to 2021 and 1 wants a refund. The 2 passengers can move to 2021 and select a new 2pax accommodation later this year. The 3rd person can request a refund.

  • How to change or refund your flights

    We appreciate that some of you have already moved your flights from June to September. Firstly, we want to thank you for opting to stick with us. Your support means a lot to us and we are deeply sorry that we won’t be able to deliver the event as we all hoped.
